The next generation web standards…

Some good news from the browser companies and organizations. Slowly some new standards get implemented in those nice browsers, which is a good step forward of course.

First of all, KHTML now supports every CSS selector noticed by the Selectors Test. Opera announced to do the same in their next build. So no more JavaScript, classes and ids to do simple things.

When I read Anne’s article about HTML5 forms I also noticed Opera does support some nice HTML5 elements already.

The only one who’s missing is… Firefox with it’s Gecko layout engine. I’m looking forward to the Gran Paradiso version.

Multiple IE versions

If you usually run IE 7, but also want to test in IE 6 or even 5.5, Yousif Al Saif has got the solution. He made a program called MultipleIE, which installs IE versions 6.0, 5.5, 5.0, 4.01 and 3.0. So there you go testing…
